Community partnerships are paramount to student success in the St. Johns County School District (SJCSD). In the summer of 2018, 32 organizations gathered to discuss various opportunities to collaborate with the SJCSD through an event called From Hearts to Hands.

Superintendent Tim Forson has announced two principal appointments for the 2019/2020 school year. Travis Brown, assistant principal at St. Augustine High School, has been selected to be the principal of R.J. Murray Middle School and Kirstie Gabaldon, principal at Switzerland Point Middle School, has been selected to be the principal of Sebastian Middle School.
